In 2000, Redefine Technologies teamed up with several leading aerospace groups to enter into the embedded programming market for various space applications. A focused division of Redefine Technologies was started to tackle this incredible and challenging world of programming microprocessors, hybrid FPGAs, and single board computers. Our work on object oriented and goal achieving flight software has been incorporated on several spacecraft and been used in control rooms to track space-related assets. New designs that embed either simple logic or even a full real-time operating system on a re-programmable chip offer new possibilities for NASA to send more robust spacecraft to the Moon and Mars.
